The Rocking
Horse Boutique, Baby Clothing Boutique, was established in the summer of 1998. My sister, Valeria Davidson, and I were both pregnant and due in the fall of that year. After looking at a lot of baby clothes, we thought it would be fun to open our own baby boutique (with the help of my mother, Sylvia Silvero) focusing mainly on baby clothes and baby gifts. Consequently, we opened our doors two months before the babies, Juliana and Alex, were born.
We are now completely dedicated to our store and our focus has been to offer the best quality infant clothing, baby gifts and other baby products to you. Although our professions are very diverse (Valeria is an artist and decorator, Sylvia is a Ph.D. in Spanish Literature and currently teaches at DePaul University in Chicago, and I am a professional singer), we believe that these different backgrounds have tremendously helped in developing our store. We, of course, cannot forget to mention that, without our husbands' help, the store would not be possible. Their help and hard work have been an integral part of our store.

Being parents ourselves, we know how hard it can be to find elegant and traditional infant clothing and baby gifts for children these days. We have made it our goal to carry the more traditional baby clothes that were so dear to our mothers and grandmothers. We also carry an array of christening gowns from heirloom gowns to contemporary styles, tuxedos, party outfits and flower girl dresses. Besides baby clothes, we offer a large selection of toys from Baby Gund, wooden toys from Vermont and Europe, Amish rocking horses, marionettes from the Czech Republic, baby gifts perfect for a shower or christening, accessories, blankets, bibs and much more.
